What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?

I would add, the crippled in body and mind. The dead, the orphans, the homeless, and the crippled. The wounded. The uncounted wounded. Geez, We killed a hundred million of ourselves in the last century. But how many were Wounded? Three times that? It’s insane. Yet we persist in it.

Why?

Freud’s positing a subconsious instinct to tantalos (the so-called death wish) is either a) bullshit because our Masters insist on War and have since the first cities were erected, or b) correct because We instinctively kill each other, indeed, genetically programed to hunt. One or the other.

Or both at once. The Freudian explanation is partial, at best. Yes, we Humans are predators, which is why we cozy up to dogs and cats and vice versa (cf., “Romulus and Remus”, “Dances with Wolves” and “Catwoman”), but we are also Human beings: Homo Faber, Homo Sapiens Sapiens, etc. And therein lies the distinction. We are not at the mercy of the gods, we are not at the beck and call of kings, etc. We can transcend out animalistic instinct toward predation.

Mystics and philosophers have claimed that We are Infinite Consciousness in a material dimension. That’s what David Icke says too. (Plus, he’s got the Hegelian dialectical spin - problem, reaction, solution - thing going.)
